Ping Putters – i Series, Karsten and Redwood Series, and the JAS Craz-E One

Ping has an pretty much astounding number of choices of putters for golfers. I counted 176 distinct varieties of putters that happen to be obtainable in diverse sorts of metals, inserts and other technologies. This does not count the 36 additional choices which might be offered inside the Specify series which lets golfers mix, for instance, the front of a Ping Anser putter with the back of the Zing model. So if a golfer has an idea about the sort and style of putter he prefers, Ping will pretty much undoubtedly have a solution. The Ping philosophy is to provide putters from their established lineup of designs within the unique technologies they have adopted. In other words there's a Ping Anser putter offered in just about every one in the collection that are offered. Every string of putters will use a specific metal or combination of metals, as well as a specific form of putter face insert or other technology. The business also has an on-line fitting program which directs golfers to your location of qualified putter fitters. This article will describe the new i Series and Karsten sequence, at the same time because the Redwood series as well as the JAS Craz-E A single putter, another new solution offering.

The i Series by Ping

The i Collection is actually a brand new line of putters that will not ship to retailers till November of 2007. All the putters in this product or service line will have a two piece insert system, consisting of the urethane insert with a thinner material on top in the urethane. This technology is employed to give very good feedback on the golfer, in other words a soft feel and beneficial sound. You'll find a total of 10 versions obtainable with the i Sequence technology, which includes old standards like the Anser and Zing, as well as the Piper, B60, Craz-E, ½ Craz-E, and ½ Moon models.

The Karsten Series

These putters are of course named soon after Karsten Solheim who was the founder of Ping. Again, this is really a brand new product or service line which will not begin shipping to retailers until October of 2007. The faces of these putters are made from steel, and an elastomer insert is added into the face in the ball contact area. Weight has been redistributed for the perimeter with the club head which increases the club head moment of inertia (MOI), and this adds forgiveness on off-center hits. These putters also have what is called a mult-level alignment aid. The thin and rectangular top edge from the putter contrasts on the aiming lines inside the back cavity to make alignment easier. You'll find seven versions to be provided within the Karsten series which includes the Anser, Anser 2, B60, B67, Zing, Craz-E, and Piper models of putter heads.

The Redwood Series

This sequence is named following Redwood City, California, where Karsten Solheim started working on putters in his garage, and this was the start of your Ping business. These putters are all milled from 303 stainless steel. Some golfers like the feel of the milled putter. Three conventional models are provided in this format, the Anser, Zing, and Piper.

The JAS Craz-E A single

This is really a new addition to the JAS line of putters. This putter has a shape that somewhat resembles some of the two ball putters on the market right now, but it does not use balls as alignment aids. It does possess a rectangular alignment aid on its big back again plate. The putter head is made of lightweight C805 aluminum, and 4 heavy tungsten weights have been additional towards the perimeter, which creates a quite high MOI. In fact the JAS Craz-E 1 has the highest MOI of any putter in the Ping lineup, so it's as a result the most forgiving putter inside whole solution providing. The color is deep black and it has a modern appearance. I would say it can be quite attractive looking.
