Eco Friendly Golf Balls Launched by Dixon

Golf is becoming greener with thanks in part due to a company called Dixon. The CEO, William Carey and COO, Dane Platt were formally involved in making golf balls for other companies when they decided to go it alone with the concept of a more eco-friendly golf ball.

After much investigation and research they decide to opt to for golf balls that are truly recyclable. To do this and retain a high performance ball they decided to remain as close as possible to a high specification but remove many of the generally harmful metal types found in the core and replace them with an alternative, greener and safe filler substance.

After they were happy with changing around the core of the ball, whilst marinating the performance they introduced a complete recycling program which is outsourced to companies that crush the unwanted balls and in turn produce kids playground kit and turf.

To help get the balls into the market, a real uphill task against the big names, President Pace Jordan, of Dixon was quoted as saying “Instead of going through the front door and competing with big names and campaigns for advertising, we spend our money branding names with local markets,” he continued “Helping people raise money for schools, churches, boy and girls clubs … I could go on.”

Dixon are also planning to launch other eco friendly products to add to their line, like clothes and hats.
